Our systems vary in capacity and in duration of power. The most common system our customers purchase is a 11kw with 20 kwh of battery storage. This system will provide enough power for your typical Westcester or Fairfield County home to support all the critical items you would need during an outage. A smaller system will cost between $9,000 and $13,000, and the larger more common system will range between $15,000 to $18,000.
We also offer small customer solutions which handle limited items such as furnace or sump pump that are very economical. These systems would require a site visit for us to understand and determine exactly what system fits.
Every iPower backup system has an inverter/charger that supplies backup electricity from a battery bank to your home or office subpanel. When the utility grid fails, the inverter/charger instantly senses the outage and energizes your home with the battery power. Within milliseconds, the system transfers and converts battery-based power into commonly used electricity.
Components
INVERTER/CHARGER
The UL approved inverter/charger functions as the brains of your system—using power from your renewable energy and your batteries to supply instant backup power when you need it.
BATTERY BANK
The battery bank stores energy in sealed 12V deep-cycle batteries configured in a series for 48V.
ELECTRICAL PANEL
The electrical panel, also called the circuit breaker panel, is the distribution terminal for all of the electrical wiring in your home or office. An emergency subpanel will be created to isolate the circuits that will connect to your backup system.
GENERATOR
We can always add an optional portable generator to your system to recharge the battery bank during prolonged power outages.
UTILITY COMPANY
Will always provide the standard source for recharging the batteries and powering the home, surges and brown-outs will be filtered through the IPS system which will provide you’re appliances with protection.
